Direct condensation

During the direct condensation processes vapors and vapor mixtures get in contact with a cooling agent with temperature below the dew point. Condensation processes can be carried out in apparatuses with a partition between vapor and condensing agent, typically in heat exchangers, or in so-called direct contact condensers, where vapor and condensing agent come into direct contact with each other.
